18 weeks!

18 weeks pregnant! I already feel huge and I have so far to go...I should have posted this picture yesterday but we were so busy and I ran out of time. 

Time for summer!

We finally packed away all of our winter gear (hats, gloves, heavy coats, etc.) and I said GOOD-BYE to my shoes in anticipation of nice or hot weather from here on out. In celebration, I went and got a pedicure with my friend Liz the other day...

17 weeks!

I had Kevin snap this picture of me on Saturday, April 9th because it marks a total of 17 weeks!

Preparations...

We are moving right along with our home projects in preparation for baby bertsch. I have managed to clean out my entire office and compact it into one desk. So now we have an open palette for the baby room! Kevin has finished framing in the back storage room and it is finally painted and ready for flooring. 

I cannot WAIT until I get to paint the baby's room! That is going to depend on the gender though...only a couple more weeks until we know!!!

Hello 2nd Trimester!

I can't believe that I'm already in my second trimester...some days I still can't believe I'm pregnant besides the obvious (me getting fatter). Without any morning sickness or major complications up to this point, the pregnancy has been quite uneventful in the first trimester besides getting to hear the heartbeat once.

It's still quite hard to grasp that I have an actual human being growing inside of me! It's weird too because I'm not one of those super excitable girly-girls that oohs and ahhs at merely the mention of a baby. At this point in time, I'm still not big enough to be "obviously" pregnant to all the world. So, when we were in Best Buy this past weekend, an associate gave me a really strange look at the mention of me being pregnant. I, personally, wouldn't have said anything about it but Kevin is so proud and just loves telling everyone. Sometimes he's more of a girl about it than I am...lol

I also wonder if the cravings for food that isn't good for me will ever stop...at this point, it's hard to tell if they're still cravings or me convincing myself that they are. Either way, I think I'm finding a balance.

2nd Prenatal Visit!

As of today I am 11 weeks along and we had our second prenatal visit. We got to listen to the heartbeat on doppler...really exciting stuff!!! The heartbeat was 160 bpm. I am even more excited about the 20 week appointment now! We need to start coming up with names and taking guesses...any suggestions? LOL

We're having a baby!

We confirmed on Thursday, January 20th, that we're going to have a baby! I am 6 weeks and 3 days along and my due date is September 17th. More updates coming soon!
